Debra W. Botwin has been an attorney specializing in trial practice since 1988 in Florida. She graduated from the University of Alabama magna cum laude in 1985 with a BA in Communication, with a minor in Engineering. She attended the University of Alabama School of Law on full tuition scholarship, and graduated in 1988. Shortly thereafter, Debbie moved to Orlando, and began practicing at a large state-wide law firm. Her work there took her to a wide variety of jurisdictions while working on complex insurance coverage and products liability matters. She worked extensively to establish and coordinate a nationwide discovery program for a major automobile manufacturer.
Debbie has always specialized in trial practice, and has litigated in several counties in Florida, and in various states and federal jurisdictions. "Trials are addicting. It is fun, after you do all of the hard work, to see the finished product, and to know that you have represented your client well."
After maintaining a practice with too much travel, Debbie opted for a Florida practice, focusing on Central Florida. She has experience in a wide range of litigation issues, including denial of insurance benefits, employment issues, fraud defense, personal injury, wrongful termination, discrimination, insurance coverage matters and small business needs. She currently is a member of the Florida Bar and the Alabama Bar, her native state, and several federal courts in both states.
